A new chapter in the Sunshine State....
Well, this is my first forage into the world of bloggin. Well hopefully this could be a way i'll keep in touch with my friends and family members across the globe.
This year alone has been pretty sickening in a way that I have spent almost 72 hours alone on flights and probably only managed to sleep thru about 10 of those hours. Well I can't sleep on flights and that aint a good thing. I arrived in California, to somewhere nearby LA on the 21st of October courtesy of an 18 hour flight and also a sleepin pill that knocked me out for 7 hours or so, pretty good shit I would say.
Anyways, California hasn't changed much , still the same old same old, ermmm big food portions served, cheap delicious grilled steaks and sunshine ( something I was clearly deprived of back in the UK ) though I did had a lot of sunshine back in Malaysia which was just a brief 2 1/2 months back home. More I think of it, the more I miss home, well though I have been away for 3 years before that and was not home for around 2 years but the brief stay back home did remind me about my roots definitely, I mean deep inside, I am still a Malaysian no matter where I am in the world. Well it aint that bad at home, maybe the weather could get a little boring but at I guess the familiarity with places does makes it more pleasant (that's what home is, somewhere familiar to u).
Well, i'll be heading up to the school to check out on my status on the MBA programme and also be typing up a few CV's with some wishful thinking of landing myself a job in LA perhaps. That way i'll be able to manage my monetary funds much more efficiently.
I figured out that a blog isn't one when you dont have rants in it so here is my fair share of rants. I brought my Shuttle XPC over here to the US without a display so I went out to get one nice SONY SDM-HS75P, my first piece of SONY hardware (never ever bought them coz they're bloody expensive). Anyways I got the monitor and went home to have it set up, wanting to watch some movies I've downloaded on my XPC but what the heck, I kinda forgot that the wall sockets here are different, so I ended up with a working monitor but not a workin PC. Gotta wait till the next day to get some adaptors for the wall sockets and the PC worked but I had no sound coz I had no speakers. The Kenwood Hi-Fi I shipped over from UK to here was useless as it does not take any AC input except for 230v and you would not find that in the US. So now, I am basically listening to music and watching movies with headphones till I get out again to purchase myself some bloody speakers.
Apart from that little fracas, everything is pretty cool, hopefully i'll be able to tell myself to update the blog from time to time. Anyways feel free to comment on stuffs and all. Cheers all.
